History of the Club
There has been a camera club in Frome since the 1930’s and the Frome Camera Club was reformed as a Photographic Society in 1980.
Frome Selwood Photographic Society has tried to contribute to the community in helping its members to develop their interests in all kinds of photographic expression. We are particularly proud that our members will share their expertise and experience to all who join us.
Our programme offers a mix of instructional tuition and Live and Recorded lectures. Photographers of all abilities are welcome
We have utilised our skills through projects such as supplying images for books on Frome and more recently we have been involved with the local disabled society PACE (Personal Achievements & Creative Experience), highlighting pictorially the challenges they may face with access in and around Frome.
Lottery funding has enabled us to purchase digital equipment which allows us to continue to make presentations in the community.
